Costume party on Gorky Park ice rink in as part of the festival "Thaw: facing the future"

On March 1, Gorky Park ice rink will host a costume party in style of dance parties of the 1960s.

For the first time Tretyakov Gallery, State Pushkin Museum, Museum of Moscow and Gorky Park came together to hold a joint festival "Thaw: facing the future." The festival will last from January to June 2017. The central issue of the festival is the speculations on significance transformations which took place in society and culture during the first post-war decades in the Soviet Union and Europe. 

Gorky Park starts festival on the first day of spring. On March 1 the ice rink will host a costume party in stylistics of 1960s. 

Together with various Russian designers we will develop a special look book with the images of sixties. The look book will include sweatshirts, skirts, flared cap with ties, mittens, skirts and other items of clothing in the style of the time. To fully comply with the spirit and fashion of the time a costume may combine several related clothing pieces. Customers who fit the look book will be able to go to the rink for free.

Jazz band will be performing for all the visitors of the rink.
