Naum Granovsky. Gorky Park. 1950-s

The Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography and the Still Art Foundation opens the exhibition «Naum Granovsky’s Moscow 1920 - 1980» commemorating the 110th anniversary of Moscow main architecture photographer. Over 100 author’s works presented at the exhibition will show the transformation of the city and the development of the Soviet architecture during sixty years. You will also have an opportunity to see Gorky Park pictures.

The exhibition occupies two halls of the Photography Center: the first part of the project presents the original copyrights from the Lumière Gallery’s collection, the second part – the unpublished photographs from the Soviet modernism era of 1950s - 1980s.

Besides, the organizers issued a new complete monograph «Naum Granovsky 1920-1980» within the exhibition. The book analyzes changing appearance of Moscow from the 1920s to the 1980s. The introductory articles by the Lumiere Gallery founder Natalya Grigorieva-Litvinskaya, Schusev State Museum of Architecture director Elizaveta Likhacheva and the Still Art Foundation founder Elena Karisalova open the book.

The exhibition will run until 31 October.
